Equipment pad
Filter cleaning, done on the pad and done right
Dirt, oils and debris packed into cartridge and DE filters slow the whole pool down. One-time filter cleanings start at $100, and weekly customers get two a year in the price.
What a loaded filter feels like from the deck
A filter doesn't fail loudly. The water gets a little dull, the returns push less, the pressure gauge creeps up, and the pump works harder than it should to move the same water. By the time it's obvious, the pool has been running on a half-clogged filter for weeks.
In Surprise the load is dust, pollen and the oils that come off swimmers and sunscreen, and all of it ends up in the pleats. Rinsing a cartridge with a hose gets the top layer and leaves the rest where it was.
That is usually when owners call: the pool looks tired, the chemicals don't seem to hold, and nothing obvious is broken.

The cleaning, step by step
Your technician starts with an inspection of the equipment, the filters and the O-rings, so anything cracked or flattened is spotted before it is put back together. Then the filter is properly cleaned to remove the dirt, oils and debris that a quick rinse leaves behind.
The filter tub gets drained and cleaned, not just the cartridges, because grit settles in the bottom and goes right back into circulation. The O-rings are lubricated before reassembly so the lid seats properly and comes off next time without a fight.
If the inspection turns up a worn part, Nathan tells you what he found and what the options cost before touching anything. That is how Mountain Ridge handles every repair, and the bigger jobs are covered under Repairs and Upgrades.
Every six months, sooner for some pools
Cartridge and DE filters should be cleaned at least every 6 months, and quarterly for some pools. A pool under trees, or one that gets heavy use, loads its filter faster than a quiet one next door.
If you're on weekly service, two cleans a year are already included in your monthly price, so there's nothing to schedule or add up. A pool that needs more than that gets quoted for the extra clean, with the price given up front.
If you are not a weekly customer yet, a single cleaning starts at $100. Text a photo of the equipment pad to (480) 382-6282 and we'll tell you which type of filter you have and what the visit will cost.
One-time filter cleanings start at $100. Cartridge and DE filters should be cleaned at least every 6 months, and every quarter for some pools.
